Seven years of soccer, four of them right here at home. Sun City FC celebrated its seventh anniversary on Sunday with players, coaches, and families filling the field in Sunland Park, a club that has become part of the neighborhood.
Siete años de fútbol, cuatro de ellos aquí mismo en casa. Sun City FC celebró su séptimo aniversario el domingo con jugadores, entrenadores y familias llenando la cancha en Sunland Park, un club que ya es parte del vecindario.

Mayor Javier Perea, Mayor Pro Tem Raul Telles, and Councilor Bertha Salmon joined the celebration to congratulate the club and spend time with the kids and families who make it run. They helped cut the cake, cheered from the sideline, and thanked the volunteers who have kept Sun City FC going since day one.
El alcalde Javier Perea, el alcalde pro tempore Raul Telles y la concejal Bertha Salmon acompañaron la celebración para felicitar al club y convivir con los niños y las familias que lo hacen funcionar. Ayudaron a partir el pastel, echaron porras desde la banda y agradecieron a los voluntarios que han mantenido vivo a Sun City FC desde el primer día.
Sun City FC was founded seven years ago and has called Sunland Park home for the last four. In that time it has grown into a place where kids from across the community learn the game, make friends, and have somewhere to be after school and on weekends. Sunday's celebration looked the way the club looks every week: yellow jerseys everywhere, parents on the sideline, and a lot of noise.
Sun City FC se fundó hace siete años y lleva cuatro con su casa en Sunland Park. En ese tiempo se ha convertido en un lugar donde niños de toda la comunidad aprenden el juego, hacen amigos y tienen a dónde ir después de la escuela y los fines de semana. La celebración del domingo se vio como se ve el club cada semana: camisetas amarillas por todos lados, papás en la banda y mucho ruido.
