The Sunland Park Police Department and Sunland Park Fire Department responded this evening to a crash involving a dirt bike on Country Club Road near the former Wells Fargo building.

The rider, a juvenile, was wearing a helmet and was conscious at the scene. The rider was transported by Sunland Park Fire Department Squad 51 to University Medical Center of El Paso in serious but stable condition. The rider’s family has been notified.

Officers are clearing the scene. Drivers in the area are asked to use caution and watch for emergency personnel.

The City of Sunland Park, the Sunland Park Police Department, and the Sunland Park Fire Department wish the rider a full recovery. No further information is available at this time.
