Breaking Ground on Futurity Drive
A full rebuild of the corridor from San Gabriel Road to Trifecta Avenue, starting with the water, sewer, and drainage lines underground and finishing with new curbs, sidewalks, and pavement on top.
More Than a New Road
Most of the important work on Futurity Drive is work you won't see once it's finished. Instead of paving over the existing street, crews are rebuilding the corridor from the ground up, starting with the water, sewer, and drainage systems that run beneath it.
Taking care of what's underground before the new pavement goes down is what makes this a long-term fix for the neighborhood instead of a short-term one.
A Rebuild, Not a Patch
Resurfacing only fixes the top layer. This project rebuilds Futurity Drive from its foundation up, so the new road sits on a solid base.
Better Drainage
Storm drainage improvements and new curb and gutter are designed to move stormwater off the road and help reduce flooding along the corridor.
Water and Sewer Upgrades
New water lines, service connections, and meters, along with sewer manhole rehabilitation, strengthen the utilities that homes and businesses rely on every day.
Safer Access
Pedestrian improvements and a rebuilt roadway improve safety and access for drivers, people walking, and businesses along Futurity Drive.
