City of Sunland Park directors and council members recently joined Casa de Peregrinos for a tour of its new facility, taking in the progress on a project that will bring hunger relief services closer to families who need them most.
The visit gave city leaders a firsthand look at construction on the new site, which will expand Casa de Peregrinos' capacity to serve the community with nutritious food and support programs. City officials were joined on the tour by representatives from Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico, Casa de Peregrinos' food bank partner, and by the team at 9 Degrees Construction, who are building the facility.
Throughout the visit, attendees walked the building's interior and grounds, getting an up-close view of the space that will soon house Casa de Peregrinos' food distribution operations. The new location is designed to bring services closer to the families who rely on them, cutting down on travel and making it easier for the community to access support.

Casa de Peregrinos is an Emergency Food Program serving families facing food insecurity across the Sunland Park area, in partnership with Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico. The City of Sunland Park will continue working alongside Casa de Peregrinos and its partners to support the launch of this new resource for the community.
