Court Clerk - Full Time Position          

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Six (6) months experience in skilled office clerical tasks
  3. Knowledge of the court system and legal terminology
  4. Bilingual in English and Spanish
  5. Requires a typing rate of 45 words per minute
  6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  7. Ability to greet the general public with a helpful and positive attitude

 JOB DUTIES: 

  1. Enters citation into system; prepares court packets
  2. Prepares court docket; organizes and prepares case files prior to court hearings
  3. Creates payment plans according to court dispositions and judgements
  4. Attends court proceedings
  5. Answer phones
  6. Files and close cases

Certified Police Officer 

Qualifications:

  • Law Enforcement Certification (TCOLE certification considered)
  • Good standing with NM/TX Department of Public Safety
  • Valid driver’s license

Community & Economic Development Director

Starting Pay: $60,000

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Architecture or related field
  2. Four (4) years’ experience in urban/rural planning, community development, economic development and/or grant administration
  3. Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
  4. Valid Driver's License
  5. Must pass background check.

Economic Development Specialist
Starting Pay: $40,000

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in economic development, urban or regional planning, business or public administration, economics, or related field.
  2. Two (2) years related professional level experience.  A combination of education, experience and training will be applied in accordance with City of Sunland Park Policy
  3. Valid Driver's License
  4. Must pass background check.

Business Programs Coordinator
Starting Pay: $47,562

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in urban or regional planning, marketing, economic development, business or public administration, economics or related field.
  2. Three (3) years of professional level experience in economic development, marketing, research, business development, commercial real estate/development, urban planning, community development and/or redevelopment.  A combination of education, experience and training will be applied in accordance with City of Sunland Park Policy
  3. Valid Driver's License
  4. Must pass background check.

Environmental Program Specialist
Starting Pay: $44,999

Minimum Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, environmental science or environmental studies; geography; natural science; physical science; civil, environmental or geological engineering; planning; public policy studies or public administration; landscape architecture; urban planning or urban studies; economics or business administration.
  2. Two years professional experience in environmental regulatory compliance or environmental program management area. A combination of education, experience, and training may be applied in accordance with City of Sunland Park policy.
  3. Valid Driver's License
  4. Must pass background check.

Building Inspector
Starting Pay: $40,000

Minimum Qualifications: 

  1. Associates degree in construction technology or equivalent
  2. Four years of experience in general construction and related fields; or
  3. Any equivalent combination of educational and experience.
  4. General Construction Building Inspectors certification
  5. Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
  6. Valid Driver's License
  7. Must pass background check.

Purchasing Agent
Starting Pay: $44,999

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field.
  2. Six (6) years public (government) sector purchasing experience.  A combination of education, training and experience in public (government) sector purchasing may be applied in accordance with City of Sunland Park policies and procedures. 
  3. Registration as a Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) is preferred; (if don’t’ have must acquire within 6 months of hire)
  4. Valid Driver's License
  5. Must pass background check.

Custodian (Part-time)
Starting Pay: $9,640

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Valid Driver's License
  3. Must pass background check.
